The journey, challenges, and vision behind each project.

01

Leadership Compass

Leadership Compass is a strategic framework designed for mission-driven organizations navigating the complex landscape of AI transformation. It's not just another consulting tool. It's a compass for leaders who refuse to lose their mission while embracing innovation.

The Challenge

Nonprofit leaders are drowning in AI hype while struggling with real operational challenges. They need practical guidance that respects their mission, budget constraints, and the human-centered work they do every day.

The Solution

Leadership Compass provides a structured approach to AI adoption that starts with organizational readiness, not technology. It helps leaders assess where they are, identify realistic next steps, and build capacity without losing sight of what matters most: the people they serve.

What Makes It Different

  • Built by someone who's been in the trenches of human services
  • Focuses on organizational culture and readiness, not just tech
  • Practical frameworks tested with real nonprofits
  • No vendor lock-in or expensive enterprise solutions
02

Mission AI Toolkit

A curated collection of AI prompts and templates specifically designed for nonprofit work. No generic business prompts here. These are built for grant writing, program design, case documentation, and the unique challenges of mission-driven organizations.

Why This Exists

After watching nonprofit professionals struggle with AI tools designed for corporate environments, I realized they needed prompts that speak their language. Prompts that understand trauma-informed care, equity frameworks, and community-centered approaches.

What's Inside

  • Grant writing templates that maintain your authentic voice
  • Program design prompts grounded in best practices
  • Case documentation helpers that respect privacy and dignity
  • Strategic planning frameworks for mission-driven work
  • Community engagement and stakeholder communication tools

The Vision

This toolkit is constantly evolving based on real feedback from practitioners. It's not about replacing human judgment. It's about giving people back time to focus on what matters: the relationships and impact that only humans can create.

03

AI Nonprofit Hub

A centralized resource hub where nonprofits can explore AI tools, learn best practices, and discover implementation strategies that actually work in resource-constrained environments.

The Problem We're Solving

Nonprofit leaders are bombarded with AI solutions, but most resources are written for tech companies with unlimited budgets. They need a trusted source that understands their constraints, values, and the unique ethical considerations of working with vulnerable populations.

What You'll Find

  • Vetted AI tools reviewed through a nonprofit lens
  • Implementation guides with realistic timelines and budgets
  • Case studies from organizations that have successfully adopted AI
  • Ethics frameworks for responsible AI use in human services
  • Community discussions and peer learning opportunities

Current Status

The hub is in beta, actively being shaped by feedback from nonprofit practitioners. We're building this together—not as a top-down solution, but as a collaborative resource that evolves with the sector's needs.

04

Case Connect Hub

In Development Visit Site →

Streamlined case management tools designed to help social workers spend less time on paperwork and more time with the people they serve. Built by someone who understands the reality of caseload management in under-resourced settings.

The Reality

Social workers are drowning in documentation requirements while their caseloads keep growing. Current case management systems are either too expensive, too complicated, or built by people who've never done the work. Case Connect Hub is different.

Core Features

  • Intuitive case documentation that respects privacy and dignity
  • Smart templates that reduce repetitive data entry
  • Collaboration tools for multidisciplinary teams
  • Compliance tracking without the administrative burden
  • Mobile-friendly for workers in the field

Development Approach

This tool is being built in partnership with frontline workers—not in isolation. Every feature is tested with real case managers to ensure it actually solves problems instead of creating new ones. We're prioritizing simplicity, speed, and respect for both workers and clients.

What's Next

Currently in active development with a pilot group of social workers. We're refining the core features based on daily use and feedback. The goal is to launch a beta version that genuinely makes their work easier, not just digitizes the same broken processes.

05

Voice-to-Case-Notes App

In Progress

Building an MVP that lets case managers talk instead of type. Privacy-first. Field-tested thinking.

The Problem

Case managers spend hours documenting interactions when they could be building relationships. Current documentation tools require typing detailed notes, often while trying to maintain eye contact and presence with clients. It's inefficient and takes away from the human connection that matters most.

The Approach

Voice-to-Case-Notes uses AI-powered speech recognition to convert spoken observations into structured case notes. But unlike generic transcription tools, it's designed specifically for social work. It understands the language, privacy requirements, and documentation standards of the field.

Privacy & Ethics

This tool is being built with privacy at its core. All processing happens securely, no client data is stored unnecessarily, and the system is designed to comply with HIPAA and other privacy regulations. The goal is to make documentation easier without compromising the trust clients place in their case managers.

07

The AI Maturity Model

Framework

Where does your org actually stand with AI? Four stages. No judgment. Just clarity.

The Four Stages

  • Awareness: Understanding what AI is and isn't, exploring possibilities
  • Experimentation: Testing tools, learning what works for your context
  • Integration: Embedding AI into workflows and processes
  • Optimization: Refining and scaling AI use strategically

Why This Framework

Most AI maturity models are built for tech companies with unlimited resources. This framework is designed for nonprofits—acknowledging budget constraints, capacity limitations, and the unique ethical considerations of working with vulnerable populations.

How to Use It

The model helps organizations assess where they are, identify realistic next steps, and build capacity without losing sight of their mission. It's not about racing to "full AI adoption." It's about thoughtful, mission-aligned progress.

Case Study: AI in Homeless Services

Case Study

Real implementation. Real results. What worked, what didn't, and what we learned.

The Context

A homeless services organization wanted to use AI to improve case management efficiency without losing the human-centered approach that defines their work. This case study documents their journey from exploration to implementation.

What They Tried

  • AI-assisted case note documentation
  • Predictive analytics for housing placement
  • Automated resource matching for clients
  • Staff training on AI literacy and ethics

Key Learnings

The study reveals both successes and challenges, from time saved on documentation to unexpected ethical dilemmas. It provides honest insights into what it really takes to implement AI in human services, including the importance of staff buy-in, ongoing training, and maintaining client dignity throughout the process.

Takeaways for Others

This case study offers practical lessons for other organizations considering AI adoption, including budget considerations, timeline expectations, and strategies for maintaining mission alignment while embracing innovation.

12

AI Ethics Framework for Nonprofits

Framework

Practical guidelines for using AI responsibly in human services. Built with practitioners, not theorists.

Why This Matters

Nonprofits work with vulnerable populations and hold positions of trust in their communities. Using AI responsibly isn't just about compliance. It's about maintaining that trust and ensuring technology serves people, not the other way around.

Core Principles

  • Human Dignity: Technology should enhance, not replace, human connection
  • Equity: AI tools must not perpetuate or amplify existing inequities
  • Transparency: Clients have a right to know when AI is being used
  • Privacy: Data protection is non-negotiable
  • Accountability: Humans remain responsible for decisions

Practical Application

The framework includes decision trees, assessment tools, and policy templates to help organizations evaluate AI tools before adoption, implement them responsibly, and monitor their impact over time. It's designed to be accessible. No ethics degree required.

Living Document

This framework evolves as we learn more about AI's impact in nonprofit settings. It's informed by ongoing research, practitioner feedback, and real-world implementation experiences. The goal is to create ethical guidelines that are both rigorous and realistic.
